Re: WWYD and when are you comfortable FFing?

Like others, I'd move her outboard to keep her harnessed.

Unlike some of the others, I'd probably flip your middle at this point. My DD must be a moose, though. We had a EFTA for one car & a EFT65 for the other. She maxed the RF weight on the EFTA right around 2.5, so I flipped her in my car. She was at the top harness spots (w/ almost no room to spare & a habit of pulling down the sliding harness when she climbed into her seat) for both seats by 2.75ish FFing, so she went into FFing combo seats for both cars--Frontier in one vehicle & Harmony Defender in the other.

I don't forward face till 4 but I have peanuts for kids. I'd get whatever car seat I need to if ds#2 is bigger then his brother was to get him to 4.

Re: WWYD and when are you comfortable FFing?

I would move the oldest to outboard and keep her harnessed until she hits 40lbs (maybe a bit more to be on the safe side). I'm comfortable FFing at 3 but I wouldn't stress too much if a child outgrew a seat RFing at 2.5 and a new seat was out of budget.

With the frontier 85 have you tried both the short belt path and the long belt path?

I have. I just can't seem to get a good install with the ceiling belts. I moved DD1 outboard FF harnessed with long belt path install, moved DD3 center RF and kept DD2 outboard RF.

I haven't been able to get anything I feel comfy with using a ceiling belt either.
