Evenflo NapSak baby carrier - how to use?

Pictures and more info here!

AHHHH! Mystery mostly solved! It has not been altered. The "head rest" is actually an infant insert (sling seat and back rest). One remaining mystery: What are the 2 "male" snaps at the top inside, as pictured in the photo album (3rd and 5th pics)? I can't find any mates for those poor guys.

________________________________________________

Hi all. I bought a "NAPSAK SOFT BABY CARRIER BY EVENFLO" at the thrift store Monday and it seems like I may be the only person who ever bought one because I cannot find ANYTHING about it online. I haven't yet contacted Evenflo.

It looks fairly vintage but is of the Mei Tai/Ergo style. If anyone has ever had one or knows how to use it, please let me know. The big question is how do I adjust the "sak" part where the baby rides so it doesn't swallow him up? His head is basically below the top of it and he is a tall 1-yr. old, so I assume it should accommodate him. I have 2 pieces - the main backpack part and another piece which has metal hooks that I take to be a head rest of some sort. However, I can't find where the hooks should attach. The "head rest" has a foam pad and a drawstring that cinches up. There are also a couple of snaps on the main body piece that don't seem to mate, so perhaps there is a missing piece.

TIA for any help!

Thanks. When he naps, I will post pics.

Hmmm... apparently I need 3 more posts to upload links or photos. So here's one. Item 250434446360 on ebay right now, "EVENFLO AVIATOR SOFT BABY CARRIER," looks to be the same idea.

in my link these two snaps would be to snap in a piece of cloth for spit up.
Did you figure everything out?

Re: Evenflo NapSak baby carrier - how to use?

Ah - thanks! I'll buy that unless any other ideas come along. And if that is right, yep, I have it all figured out. I guess I needed to talk out loud - and, more importantly, get a little time without a baby in my lap. I appreciate your help! Not bad for less than $2! Now I hope it will serve us well for a 3-week vacation this summer. It may not be an Ergo/Beco, but we'll be out West and this will be so much cooler - 100% cotton and without all the heavy padding.

Re: Evenflo NapSak baby carrier - how to use?

Your link is actually a lot more similar to it than I realized. Between it showing a front carrier and being in German, I just didn't see it at first. Now I am wondering if mine works as a front carrier. I feel certain it is at least intended for back carrier use. But the shoulder straps have so much length, I could see where they might criss cross in the back for front carrying!
