Favorite reuseable nursing pads...

That don't cost an arm and a leg and aren't huge/bulky?! Is that possible? Generally I go w/Lansinoh disposables which I love. The catch is that I have OALD and use them until my littles are a yr old, I need to change after every session because I have always developed thrush with each child. :/ I really don't want to go through that again, but it is probably inevitable. I'm hoping changing immediately whenever In wet will help, but then I certainly cannot afford that many disposables, especially with DH's income right now. :/
I'm usually a B while nursing. The Gerber ones where huge and bulky and not that absorbent. Also tried out a few WAHMS that weren't great either...I thought about the Milkies, and ha some shells or whatever for catching milk before, but from what I've read those also aren't great for yeast growth. Help!

If you are looking for something affordable then check out Amazon. I looked up organic cotton nursing pads. I found some that were 3 pairs for around $7. They are super soft and absorbent.

Re: Favorite reuseable nursing pads...

I use Philips AVENT Washable Nursing Pads, purchased from Amazon. I have OALD too and sometimes soak through these but, in general, they've been great. They've held up over two kids and countless washes. I've worn them for a year with each child, too.

Bamboobies for day and night (esp the thick ones for the night or first weeks of nursing.
They are maybe not the cheapest but hold very well (I wash mine at least once a week and have been using the same pads for three kids, that's 2 years and months of nursing, and I'm not done with them yet.

Re: Favorite reuseable nursing pads...

Only ones I tried that worked were the organic cotton ones they sell at babies r us. Can't remember the brand, but they were really absorbent. I even tried wool with no luck. For overnight, I used the organic cotton doubled up with one of the other not - so - absorbent brands.
