Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
I'm almost 35 weeks, and already the movements with this LO are painful to me. I remember feeling this way with DS and he was 9lb 5 oz. It literally felt like he was tearing me apart. DD was not so bad, nothing that made me cringe when active. We don't know the sex of this one, but it makes me think big boy when its moving. Did anyone else experience this pain, and did it mean a big baby for you?

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
I had times during my last pregnancy that the baby moving was painful, but the baby's movements were not always painful. We ended up having a girl that was 8 pound 11 ounces, which was average for one of my kids. Our oldest ds was the biggest at 9 pounds 14 ounces, but I honestly can't remember it hurting anymore when I was pregnant with him than with any of the other kids.

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
I had virtually no painful movements w/ this last pregnancy, I just had ds 8 weeks ago, and ds was 9 1/2 lbs, so yeah he was a big baby.

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
Movements from my kids felt pretty much the same throughout. DS was 7lbs 8oz and DD was 9lbs 7oz, so even though she was a lot bigger she didn't cause me any more pain.

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
I don't think I really had any real painful movements with DS... can't remember with DD... but really... with DS (just born a month ago) I REALLY don't think I had much for painful movements.
He was 11 lbs 5 oz when he was born... so ummm BIG baby boy.

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
With my 4th baby her movements were very painful at the end. She felt like she was poking a knife into my cervix! She was my smallest baby at 6lbs 9oz.

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?
it CAN be an indicator...you could feel more painful movement cause the baby may be hitting an internal organ or the placenta. if you baby stretches and hits an intestine thats laying close to the uterus, it HURTS!!
I'm at 32 weeks and started having painful movement about 3 weeks ago. I think my baby feels big, but know full well she/he is probably under 5 lbs right now. its just the force of the baby and my sensitive organs.
