Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?

In this current pregnancy, I have *one* spot above and to the right of my navel that HURTS when she kicks it (or knees it) - I think she's actually bruised me there. But, that being said, my last baby was 10 lbs 8 oz and I never had any painful movements with him, so I guess as with so many things in pregnancy, it might mean something and it might not!

Hope the painful bits subside for you!

I was so uncomfortable with DS.... he only weights 7lb9oz, but he was 23in. long. I really think I was so miserable because of his length, I'm only 5'1". My daughter I never had any problems and she was 19.5in

Hmm...I guess only time will tell. Maybe its just hitting my placenta or something. It hurts most when its active and shifting positions. It literally takes my breath away. We'll see...

No! My first was a little over five pounds, and my second was a little over 6, but their movements could be pretty painful at times. Don't think about it so much! There's nothing you can change right now, so just go with the flow.

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?

In my case no. I did have painful movement with both previous pregnancies and some with this one. First DD was 5lbs 5oz, second 5lbs 8.7oz. This baby isn't measuring 5lbs yet. I think it also depends on what organs they are hitting/punching/kicking/jabbing.

I'm at 32 weeks and started having painful movement about 3 weeks ago. I think my baby feels big, but know full well she/he is probably under 5 lbs right now. its just the force of the baby and my sensitive organs.

that could explain it for me then! my placenta is right in front so maybe thats why movement has been painful

Re: Did painful movement mean large baby for you?

I was just thinking maybe painful movements might mean the opposite? I mean, my smallest was 8-3; others were 9-14 and 10-8... maybe if they have more room in there then they can jab harder? I know it sounds funny but maybe it's true?

lol
