Re: New rearfacing video, check it out!

I have a question....in the crash tests on the one rear-facing what in the thing attached to the childs head?? It looks like it is holding it in place....but I just can't figure out what it is.

A lot of times they have things attached to the dummies to measure pressure and whatnot on impact... it might have been that.

I saw what you are talking about and really don't know... doesn't much matter though (to me) because it's not keeping the dummies head from doing anything.

And they are all 5pt. harnesses, there is just the clip missing. 5pt is two shoulder, two at the hip, and one at the crotch. A 3pt. would only have the shoulder and croth connections.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

Oh yeah I am with you.....doesn't matter to me either- no mistaking which way was safer. I was just curious .

We have a Decathalon which I think is rfing until 33lbs and I would bet ds is darn near 28lbs now, but hasn't been gaining and I think it will be awhile before he hits 33lbs, maybe? Does anyone know how long for rfing with the Britax Wizard??

Re: New rearfacing video, check it out!

What a great video. I already plan on keeping my girls RF until they reach the upper limit of their seats. I feel badly for turning my DS when he was younger(he was one and well over 20 lbs but could've stayed). I have a friend who turned her DS at 9 months because he was a big boy. I really want to show her this video before she has her new babe.

Re: New rearfacing video, check it out!

Good video. My 2 yr 8 month old DD still rides rearfacing. She is 37inches tall and weighs 27lbs just to give some people a reference point. She rearfaces in a Britax Wizard, as well as in a Cosco Scenera.

Re: New rearfacing video, check it out!

I just updated the link to a slower version so you can read the information easier. Please feel free to pass the video on to anyone whom you feel it might help. Glad you like it.
MOmmy2JJ, each child is so different in the rate that they grow, it is hard to predict when one might reach the limit for rearfacing in any seat.
