When does the destructive stage end?

When do they stop throwing everything on the floor, clearning off bookshelves, knocking stuff over, dumping out baskets, ripping covers off books....I hope it's soon! I feel like all I did all day was pick up one mess while stopping her from making another while fixing something she broke while redirecting her to a "safe" toy

Re: When does the destructive stage end?

It's a phase?? LOL...I don't know when it ends...but I wish for it every day.

ETA: Well, really...I have to be honest. I gave it a little more thought and 3yo isn't doing it nearly as much as the 18 month old. And it's slowed even more now that I make him help me clean up the messes he makes. He needs to realize that his actions have consequences (only referring to my 3yo, not your child ).
