What griddle and/or bread maker do you have or want?
Hi mamas! I really want a griddle but there are soo many options. What do you have and what do you like about it?
Also, my dh (yes him not me ) really wants a breadmaker. What do you have and what features should we be looking for? Thanks!

Re: What griddle and/or bread maker do you have or want?
I actually just sold my breadmaker on craigslist because I discovered the Artisan Bread in Five Minutes method. LOVE IT! Here is a link for the basic recipe. http://www.artisanbreadinfive.com/?p=1616
Other than that, I'd say to check goodwill for a bread machine and just find one you like, since they are usually so cheap you can't go wrong!

Re: What griddle and/or bread maker do you have or want?
I got the Cuisinart Griddle Gourmet. The Hubby wanted a sandwich toaster and I wanted a george foreman grill. This baby is the best of both. I can make eggs, bacon and toast in the morning, panini sandwiches for lunch, and grill veggies and meat for dinner. I like that I can make shishkabobs in it as well. It doesn't take up that much room under the counter and the plates are dishwasher safe.

Re: What griddle and/or bread maker do you have or want?
I have a breadmaker that I got at a garage sale. It's an Oster brand but it doesn't say the model name. I like that it has a delay cook feature so I can pop the ingredients in it at night before bed and when I wake up the bread is freshly baked. It doesn't get any better than that.

Re: What griddle and/or bread maker do you have or want?
If I thought I would actually *make* bread, I would get a Zo: http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/...tainless-steel.
However, my KA mixer can do a dandy job of mixing dough, and I have an oven. It's more the convenience of having it all done in one place than actually needing the Zo. |
