I won't even go to the playplaces without DH, not just because of creepy people, though. Also because I don't want to have to crawl up to get DD if she decides she doesn't want to come down (which she usually does). . .

As if that wasn't bad enough, the little girls parents were out of town and couldn't make it back for another 24 hours. So, she was completely traumatized and didn't have her mom and dad there to comfort her!

OK I hate to be the one to say this.. but I will .. I dont care who you are.. if you touch my kid.. I would smack the **** out of someone.. 7 or not.. and if his mother didnt "handle it" it would be a missunderstanding right there .. I dont start mess.. but for dang sure no punk @$$ kid would touch my child .. But that is just me and the irish blood pumping

This thread just reitterates why I don't let my kids play in these types of places.
For one, ick, all the germs. I highly doubt anyone goes in there and cleans, and if they do, they're not going to do a good job. Heck, they can hardy ever get the orders correct and people order BY NUMBER!

Two-Kids ARE mean, and anything can happen when parents can't see inside. I don't like my 3 yr old being run over by big kids that shouldn't be there in the first place. They don't watch for little ones.

And 3-freaks hiding in there wanting to cause harm to my children.

No thanks. I'll stick to open play areas when it's cold and the park when it's warm.

We don't have any indoor play places in my town so DS and I have been stuck at McD's all winter long for his playdates. Now that it's warm we've been at the park but if another cold spell hits I think we'll just suck it up and have the playdates at my house. I just can't deal with the danger and the ick factor of McD's anymore!!
