Do I have the only barefoot babe?

Logan HATES socks and shoes; when we go out, of course, I put socks and shoes on him (little soft shoes). While we're at home, though, he stays barefoot. Granted, we're in GA where it's mostly warmer (nearly 60 degrees right now); if we were still in KY, I might be more inclined to put something on his feet. As it is, though, he's barefoot all the time while we're inside. Anybody else with a barefoot babe?

nope bot my boys 3 & 1 take off their shoes the second they can. if they're in the car, in the house, anywhere... the only time they're on is if they fall asleep that way or if they're walking & forgot to take them off first!

I can't keep socks on either ds' ds1 is 4 & ds2 just turned 1yr. I find socks all over the house. Probably doesn't help that I only wear socks when I can't get my feet warm.

LOL...that's me, too. I hardly ever wear shoes inside, and during summer, go barefoot nearly all the time, even outside! Guess it's the eastern KY hillbilly in me...

we're all barefoot here I hate shoes and socks with a passion myself so I'm not surprised my kids do too

My ds is barefoot nearly all the time. He is 8 months, and hates shoes and socks. He's only worn shoes twice in his life, and as soon as we got inside, they came off. Helps him as he pulls to STAND already! ACK!

DD is barefoot ALL THE TIME! And we live in Delaware...it's not warm here! We keep our house pretty cold too (set at 61 degrees) to save on heating bills. I bought some Robeez to put on her so she'd keep them on. It's funny....she can't get them off no matter how hard she tries! But if I put regular shoes on her to go out they are off before I finish putting both kids in the car.

K loves her shoes but at home we're always barefoot/in socks as a babe J hated shoes.

My kiddos rarely wear shoes until they learn to walk. A medical research place (name has left me, but I kept a copy of the article) did a study on how babies learn to walk, how toddlers walk etc, and it showed that babies walk best barefoot and learn fastest barefoot. Striderite even redsigned the walker shoe based on the study.

My kiddies (with the exception of DS #1) HATE shoes and socks. They take them off in a heartbeat. We have a million odd socks b/c they are forever throwing their socks. They have even lost a shoe or two by throwing them "overboard" from their wagon while out in public. So you are definately not alone. We live in GA too, so most of the time it's not a problem. I just bought them so Crocs to see it that might make them happier w/ shoes. DS #1 is obessed with his.
