How often do you lose your temper with dc?
I was just wondering if you ladies had more patience than me.

Re: How often do you lose your temper with dc?
I dont know that I lose my temper daily but I definintly get frustrated daily. When DS 2 is having one of his days it usually gets to Mommy...fast
I do find though that I get frustrated faster if something else is going on or if AF is nearing |

Re: How often do you lose your temper with dc?
The few days before AF I get really snappy and impatient. Normally I'd say once a week though I lose my temper and put her in timeout for a stupid reason or yell at her
Then I feel so bad.

Mine is dealing with one being stubborn about school. I've not figured out to make him enjoy it and realize he needs to work at school...

Re: How often do you lose your temper with dc?
I voted daily, but it's somewhere between hourly and daily!
DD is at the age and is of the temperment that she just pushes my buttons ALL.DAY.LONG!! Most days I can take it, but others (like today) look out! I'm on the warpath. What's worse is that I'm aware of it and I STILL can't stop it! I'm like a train wreck waiting to happen today. Come home daddy!!!

Wow you ladies are better than me! I would say daily at least for me.
DH works full times, goes to school full time, and is doing his clinicals. I am left alone with my 3 boys 75-80+ hours a week. I'm tired, overwhelmed, and overworked. I need some down time!

Re: How often do you lose your temper with dc?
I voted daily... I have 3 children 4 and under.. and it gets nuts over here.. between them ..and our kitten and hamster..LOL... I dont get mean as in lose it.. but I make them go to there rooms to play while I hide somewhere.. BTW
I have a hint to getting your mind back ... take their hand and put it in yours.. when you see how little there hands are.. you realise how tiny they really are.. IT works great for me!

Re: How often do you lose your temper with dc?
This will probably sound stupid but the only time I really lose patience with ds is when I am changing a poopy dipe and he decides to flip over and get up. Then I am more likely to "yell" and have to hold him down with my legs so I can get him wiped and covered again. It really p***es me off! It must be the yuck factor.
Other than that I don't often feel like I have lost it! Although when he threw blocks at my face last night I did pick him up and sit him on the couch very suddenly and tell him no throwing blocks. (He's 21 months) Does that count? He got right down and started putting them away with me so I think he got the message.

Re: How often do you lose your temper with dc?
oh gosh, i was TERRIBLE yesterday. absolutely terrible. i voted daily, as i do get frustrated, though not usually to the point that i can't let it go. but yesterday, oh man, i was yelling all day long and being rough too, which i am so embarrassed about. i hate when i am that way, and i can't seem to stop it.
i vowed today would be better, that i would eat better (my biggest predictor of the uglies) and go to bed earlier last night. so far, i am doing much better. i am really glad you posted this, it helps me to feel like im not so alone. great tip, i am going to try that!
