Get a new doc! He's wacky and rude. My only solution to the night time wake ups was to co sleep. 9 month old's are not mellow at least mine were not!

I'm sooo sorry! Fire him! Find a ped you can trust and feel comfortable asking any question, no matter how silly you might think they sound (not that these were silly). This guy sounds like a total jerk!!

And what does antihistamine have to do with the price of tea in China? I mean, you didn't mention any breathing or allergy issues, where did THAT diagnosis come from? In regards to the reflux, do you try to keep DS upright after he eats? Does that seem to help? Have you ever given any thought to cosleeping? Baby might get a lot better rest, and you probably will too.

Just brainstorming some thoughts here. Hugs to you and a big ole' finger to your ped!

PS. The best piece of advice I've ever been given is to trust yourself as a Mom. NO ONE knows your baby better than you!!!

Get a new doctor. Any "doctor" who would prescribe an unneccessary medication in order to get your little one to sleep is dangerous imo.

I don't know if this helps or not. But about the hole on your son being too small, a friend of mines little boy had this problem. The hole was too small which caused urination to be painful so he held it in. He eventually had to have surgery to make the hole bigger. This could be the case.

I agree!! Find a new dr!!
My 3yo was the same way and he has digestive problems. He still doesn't sleep through the night.

It's because he is in pain when he is laying flat.
THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!!!! Just please remember that and find a new dr. Of course you're not happy when you have a sick kiddo on your hands. What a jerk!!!!
