Diaper Swappers

That maybe you ladies can help me out with.

For starters- my prefolds. I LOVE prefolds, they are stinking easy to put on, take with and wash. LOVE THEM! But they stain really bad, or is it just me? I have tried the sunning but there are certain ones that it just doesn't work with. There is NO smell, just stains. So what do I do? Just ignore it? I honestly have a really hard time grabbing the prefold to use it when it's got a stain. Should I just dye them and call it a day? Also, they get kind of "crunchy" feeling and just aren't soft like I want. So what do I do? And what is the most loved, softest brand, best fit you have found? I have a PB&E and honestly it's overrated and expensive, I love the softness of it and the stretch but it's already coming apart.

I have some from CottonBabies and they are hands down my first pick. Then I have some from LL and they are my least favorite, I keep them in the car for emergency diaper changes, they are super scratchy feeling and just seem super bulky.

Next issue, covers covers covers... I might be the only person who just doesn't like Thristies, but that puts me in a jam. I have a handful of them, Blueberry, Econobum, Kawaii covers and Fluffy's covers and I just hate using the Thristies, the aplix on them is pointless. My dd is constantly coming out of her diaper and the fit is just awkward. I love my Fluffy's covers but I'm trying to be more frugal

and ordering a ton of those is just not practical. Then the Kawaii are nice, the aplix is really stiff and cuts into my dd's stomach and the snaps don't get the fit right.

So what kind of covers are you ladies recommending and loving right now? And any deals anywhere? I can justify paying for quality but I just hate to buy when there aren't deals or sales going on. Especially when I see the size of our stash, but I only use about half of it.

So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am IN LOVE with the Wonder Wraps OS covers. They only come in aplix that I know of... but they are STRONG aplix. My DS who is 2 and strips out of everything doesn't mess with them.

I only ordered one and am waiting on my PP tree to sprout so I can get at least 2 more!
