A toddler cookbook?

My toddler is a lot pickier than he was when he was younger. Does anyone know of a good cookbook with healthy recipes that are a hit with toddlers?

Two I really like are "Sugar Free Toddlers" by Susan Watson and "Better Than Peanut Butter and Jelly" by Wendy Muldawer which is a veggie cookbook but still has some great things in it. You should see if you could check it out from your library first.

We use LLL's book Whole Foods for the Whole Family with success. They also have Whole Foods for Babies and Toddlers.

Re: A toddler cookbook?

Our three year old has bouts of pickiness. We just have a 'close your eyes and taste it' deal going. Sometimes it is a treat (blueberry pie) sometimes it is something new (some Korean dish my husband decides to make and I can't pronounce) We started with things we KNEW she would like so she would trust that we weren't being malicious. It has worked pretty well, no cook book required. (*note* this is based on the theory that kids will convince themselves that they won't like things and the disgust is a mental rather than physical response)

Re: A toddler cookbook?

We have a couple " kid freindly" cookbooks like one by Pampered Chef.. they arent really aimed at toddlers but the books are colorful and full of pictures and the meals are adult freindly as well.. and at our house I know when kids are involved in cooking they are more prone to eating it.. Just an idea.. not very practical for everynight, cause cooking with kids can be time conssuming and often messy.. but maybe when you want to introduce something " new" or incorporate a " nasty " food into a meal hoping they will like it.
