Well this is one link that taks about RDA of Vit C . And here's a link to the SA thread on MDC. Its long but you can find info about it in there

ETA if he's got issues with citrus you may find he'll have issues with VIT C/SA suppliments... IIRC

HTH

Re: vitamin c help, please!

At that age, I bit a regular chewable in half and gave to DS. The worst that will happen is DC will get diarreah (the kind that burns the bum, so change poopies immediately) if you give too much (I am talking like 4 chewables at once). I also took vit c myself and nursed him lots when he was coming down w something.

Regular vitamin C doesn't really do as much. You need to get some Sodium Ascorbate. It comes in a powder form.

I give Jack some Vit. C in liquid form that I get from Akins. It says give 2tsp a day (at different times). If he's getting sick, I do about 5tsp a day.

You can't really do too much Vit. C. All that will happen is that they can get diarrhea, but that's in extreme amounts.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.
