What is the most absorbent doubler/insert? :)

Hello! For those that have used different types of doublers and inserts, what have you found to be the most absorbent type of fabric? Is it hemp? Any specific brand recommendations for a heavy wetter?

Of course, if you get a thicker doubler, it will be more absorbent! My thinnest doublers are my Green Acre designs hemp doublers. They are inexpensive ~$3 each and add a nice extra level of absorbency. However, I wouldn't trust them alone overnight. For something more substantial, I use the bamboo/fleece g diaper inserts from Twinkletoes diapers on etsy. They are pretty trim and I use them a lot! They are good to lie in any diaper, stuff in a pocket, or use inside a prefold. For my MOST absorbent option I use a FLIP stay dry insert wrapped in a prefold for nighttime. Every option gets bulkier the more absorbent they are!

I've used both Hemp Babies doublers and the BG 3.0 with the extra microfiber newborn insert. Personally, I think they're equally absorbent. My DS now wears a BG Organic with a Hemp Babies doubler at night... goes 12 hours, no leaks. HTH.

I use a Zorb (off of etsy) or a Hemp baby - both are good.

For night, after much trail and error - I use the g diapers along with the 2 BG and a zorb. So 4 total in a BG, seems big but all are trim. Plus, R is used to it.

The FLIP's are quite a bit thicker/bulkier than the Twinkle toes. My baby has a huge bubble butt (but no leaks!) when I use the FLIP as a doubler with a prefold. The Twinkletoes is awesome because you can use them with any diaper (even my trim BG AIO's - either inside the extra pocket or laying inside the diaper next to baby's skin). I really think they are excellent.
I've also made some doublers using 2 layers of microfiber (you can find them inexpensively - I found mine at the grocery store) sandwiched between 2 layers of flannel. I just serged all 4 layers together and then straight stitched an X in the center to prevent bunching. They work well, too, but aren't nearly as beautiful as the twinkletoes. LOL!

I use microfibre inserts covered in suedecloth so they can lay in and not just be used in pocket diapers. Never any leaks with those, and fairly trim.
