Why did you start CDing?

A few gals at my LLL group had a meeting to discuss CDing. A friend gave me a small started stash and it's steamrolled from there. it saves money - no doubt. But what kept me going is that it got easier, and much more fun!

The original reason I started was b/c of onvironmental concerns and being better for my girls. Since I am just bebining to build my stash it really hasn't been all that cost effective yet . And now that I have really gotten into it I just can't get over how much cuter my girls are in cloth than in sposies.

I wanted to be more environmentally friendly. Everytime I change a diaper and I do not create trash, makes me happy

Initially, I developed an interest because of cost. I'm a very frugal person and am always looking for ways to cut our financial burdens. However, once I started researching I realized how much better it was for my LO to be in cloth. I will admit that while I am concerned about the environment, that played a very tiny role in my decision.

And to save money. We're doing pockets so it's a big more expensive, but will still save us money. Especially if we have another one soon.

My dh is very environmentally concerned so we started for the environment and for money. However we have spent a good amount of money on it now because of all the cute dipes out there.

I started CDing at night first because we couldnt find a disposable that worked thru the night. With cloth you can add layers to adjust things. Then once I realized how much nicer, softer and overall cuter it was I started CDing all day as well.

I started for environmental and cost reasons. I had no idea how expensive the cute factor would get. I couldn't stand all of the trash we were creating with sposies. I don't consider myself a tree-hugger at all, but it really bothered me. I'm cheap, too, it was like I was throwing away $$$ every time I changed a dipe!
