Smile Feeding My Family of 5 for $40 Next Week-My Menu Plan and Grocery List

In a different post someone asked for help making a menu plan/grocery list for her family next week and I'm in a similar situation as she is (new jobs/wonky paychecks lol!), so I thought I would start a thread showing how I'm going to do my own menu plan/grocery list for my family of five, on $40 next week.
We do not receive any assistance (WIC etc). I will be shopping Aldi. I also do not have a stock pile but do have a few things in the house already.

MENU PLAN (Sunday-Sunday)
Breakfast x7
-cereal x2 (already have)
-oatmeal with brown sugar and raisins x2 (need brown sugar and raisins)
-brown bread x2 (already have in freezer but very cheap to whip up!)
-toast with butter and jelly, scrambled eggs, fruit (need fruit and eggs)

Lunch x7 Plus I make my dh's lunches
*all will be served with fresh fruit/veggie*
-both Sundays we'll be eating at my in-laws (haven't missed it in over 8 years )
-cheesy wraps (sprinkle shredded cheese in soft tortillas and warm up) (need cheese)
-homemade mac n cheese (need cheese)
-peanut butter and jelly sandwiches x2
-left overs

Suppers x7
-scrambled eggs with diced ham and shredded cheese mixed in, toast (need cheese and eggs)
-baked chicken nuggets (from the Miserly Meals cookbook), fries (also from Miserly Meals cookbook) and carrots (need chicken)
-calzones (from Miserly Meals cookbook), bread sticks from bread maker, fruit (need mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and fruit)
-pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage links. Will mash fresh fruit (either strawberries or bananas) and put on top of pancakes (need eggs and fruit)
-Church Picnic on Thursday night -free- (where we'll eat way to much cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, and then a catered meal )
-spaghetti and meatballs (meatballs from Miserly Mom cookbook), homemade garlic bread (need hamburger and one small can of tomato sauce to make the spaghetti sauce-have the other ingredients for it)
-ham steaks, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, homemade dinner rolls, fruit (need corn, fruit)

Grocery List:
brown sugar $1.29
raisins $1ish
eggs x2 dozen $1.58
fresh fruit and veggies $10ish which will buy a LOT at Aldi
shredded co-jack cheese-12oz bag $2.29
large bag frozen boneless chicken breasts $5.99
shredded mozzarella cheese-12oz $2.99
pkg pepperoni $1ish
1lb ground beef $2ish
8oz tomato sauce .59
milk x2 gallons $4 or less (last week it was $1.79 per gallon)
total= $33ish which leaves me $7 left over

Drinks for the week will be milk, water, and then I have lemon juice so I'll make lemonade.

Snacks
-fresh fruit and veggies, 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, chips and cheese (already have the chips)

Anyone else have a ridiculously low grocery budget and want to share their menu plan for next week?

Your PB cookie recipe sounds fun what temp and how long do you bake them.
This would be a great toddler cookie to make, I mean for them to make it is so simple.

First, WOW just WOW!

I have a family of 7 and I barely get away with $85 a week! We don't eat lunch at home either.

Awesome meal planning!!

How come you don't shred your own cheese? The Meijer here often has 1lb. blocks of cheese on sale for $2.50ish, which doesn't save you tons but we all know every little bit helps!

Re: Feeding My Family of 5 for $40 Next Week-My Menu Plan and Grocery List

This'll take me a while because I have never made a meal plan before

breakfasts:
cereal x4
eggs n toast
sausage, eggs, potatoes
pancakes

lunch usually served w fresh fruit:
pb&j x2
hotdogs
grilled cheese and tomatoe soup
quesadillas x2
leftovers

dinners served w veggies from freezer:
hamburgers
lasagna
chicken cesear salad
tacos
menudo
chicken fetticini alfredo
leftovers

snacks:
ants on a log
yogurt
homemade popsicles
carrots n ranch
hard boiled eggs
jello w fruit in it

drinks:
100% fruit juice
lemonade (from concentrated lemon juice)
ovaltine
water
coffee (for K)
hot chocolate (for me)

Here is the awesome thing: WE HAVE EVERYTHING ALREADY!!! Between buying extra last weekend when we had guests and MIL bringing over a bunch, we are stocked up for the week!

Here is the challanging thing: not spending any money on food for a week. That means I'll have to pack lunch and snacks when we go to town next week. And I am going to ask K if he is up for leaving his debit/credit card at home... he likes leftovers for lunch, so I think it'll be fine.

So exciting!

Our weekly budget for 5 is $50. I dont meal plan but really should. I am jealous of some of your prices though. 1 dozen eggs here is 1.68, pepperoni is at least 3 even on sale, and 10 wont get us much fruit at all.

I have shredded cheese in the past but since I don't know what sales Meijer will have for next week I'm just planning on getting it at Aldi-but if Meijer has it (or anything else on my list for cheaper) I'll definitely go there-Meijer is right down the road from me

My normal budget is $50 a week but my dh just switched job and because of the switch we won't be getting our next paycheck till the 3oth of this month-so I'm trimming back a bit.
I am very fortunate to have fairly low groceries available and Aldi has really cheap but good produce-much of it is local to my area Same with the milk and its hormone free.
