OMGoodness, I have never seen the hair glued on and I don't think I would use glue as I don't see ot holding up for long for a childs doll Every single hair is backstiched on. She has several layers of hair and today the tip of my finger is brused from the back of the needle(pushing the needle through her head). Next time I will use a thimble I quickly made her dress and I still have to finish it but I thaught it was a cute print to use on a redhead. Thanks for the compliments

I first purchased a pattern and it just did not make sence at all. I made the body and it turned out so bad because the pattern was bad. I then purchased another patern and again only gained little info from it. THEN after that purchsed a book from amazon Making Waldorf Dolls By: Maricristin Sealey and oh my I could not be more happy! I am working on my second doll and she looks so much better as I learned from my mess ups. LOL like my ghost neck I will post pics tomorrow of my second doll. if you would like more refrence places please feel free to pm me. I did alot of reserch on how to do what as there is many ways to do things. HTH. Oh and i don't feel you stole my thread mama

Re: My first ever Waldorf doll!! (Lots Pics)

I could not wait to get started on my next doll so I made this one using up the materials left over from the last doll. She still needs a layer of hair as I ran out. Practice really does pay off as she don't have a ghost neck I love the way this doll turned out, much better. She is 14" tall and I don't have a name yet or clothes. I gatta get making her a dress. The next thing is working on not making the nose so big I am so into making these dolls now it is so much fun.

I think they're both cute and the nose isn't too big at all!

Thanks, and no I don't really think either not in real life. On the computer the nose does look much different.
