Re: Calling all Flats Mama's...newborn Q!

bumping this up. I'm curious about flats and itty bitty newborn wool. Does this combo work? Am I risking some serious blow outs?

I have pics! I just have to get to a computer and I will put them up for you.

About 3 weeks 10 lbs in a Gerber flat in the kite fold: I loved these for the very early days from birth.

LL flat in the mini kite fold also 3 weeks

Under a thirsties duo size 1

And under an XS thirsties:

This is great to see! I am hoping to do pad folded flats & covers for my new one too. Flats just wash so easy & truly one size!

Re: Calling all Flats Mama's...newborn Q!

We used flour sack flats and the cheap Gerber flats through about 12 lbs. Loved them because they are super trim/small, so minimal bulk and just enough absorbency. Flour Sacks are about $1 each, and we had the gerbers for $0.25 from a garage sale.

After that, GMD flats are our favorite. I destashed a whole stash of beautiful fitteds (including GoodMamas) to just do flats (diapering 2 LO's). Best decision ever!

Aww thank you!

She is 9 months old now. Sniff... I love looking at the tiny diaper pics though. So glad I took some.

Good to hear! Loving flats - just needing to find maximum absorbency!

When I first saw this thread today I didn't notice the date. I was all surprised that the OP was going back to flats after I remembered she went to pockets. I was like "wow, didn't know she was expecting again!" and was about to congratulate her
