To install or not to install now?

Ok I'm nuts, I will completely confess Last week I bought the Marathon (at my stealer price of $185 thanks to my mommy ) but I haven't installed it yet. My DD is in a Cosco Scenara, that is in super great excellent shape that I love, but for some reason I just can't bring myself to pull the poor guy out and replace him with the Marathon.

Well so much for this being the last seat she may ever need. My DS is 4 years old, only 40" tall and he is too tall torso wise to be in the Marathon which the manual says goes up to 49" tall. Drat.

But yes, this means it is out of the box and has been moved to the house for strap positioning, which I don't even have to do. Tomorrow when DH is home, I will be moving it to the van.

So his shoulders are above the top strap position? My DD is about 43 inches, and still has another inch or so to go...maybe she has longer legs, though.
