I think Cup Cakes would be the easiest! I like the suggestion of marshmallows for the nipples. I was thinking about gumdrops?

Pampered Chef has an oven safe mixing bowl that would be the perfect shape. I guess it depends how big "they" need to be!

Re: I need creative minds... boob cake

Thanks ladies!!! Some great ideas!
Kristin- my sis-in-law does Pampered Chef, I'll have to see if she has any mixing bowls.
I love the mini marshmallow nipple idea! Even if I frosted over it... it'd work great to "prop" the nipple
I'm excited!!!

I will post pics when I do it.. the party is August 4th, can't wait!!! I don't have much family nearby so I only have a few family members attending, but I'm keeping the boob cake a surprise LOL.. I can't wait to see their reactions!

A friend of mine made 'boob' cupcakes - she used a cocoa powder/flour mix for the areola and raspberries for the nipple.

Re: I need creative minds... boob cake

Just a caution, (and I have no problem with the idea) some people will be very sensitive to a "boob cake." At work, a great place for a boob cake right? before I started, there was a lady who thought it would be great to make a boob cake for her male boss. There was another lady, a survivor of breast cancer who had gone through a mastectomy, who was very hurt by the cakes. Now, this is an entirely different situation, since you aren't trying to be tacky, but, just be aware, that there are certain situations where things can get complicated quickly.

Anyway, good luck! I second (or third or fourth) the baking in a bowl idea.

I baked a ladybug cake in a glass pyrex bowl and it worked great.

I think I would just do 2 of those, out of white cake mix and put them on a sheet cake as the chest. Cut the sheet cake kink of curvy for the waist and yes you can mix colors of food coloring for flesh, they have a recipe on the back of the box for flesh or peach color or you can buy the paste in peach.

Have fun!

Re: I need creative minds... boob cake

My daughter was doing a solar system project and was issued the planet Uranus. Yeah, that was awesome. Anyway, I went to Michaels (with a 40 or 50% off coupon) and bought a soccer ball cake pan, made it in 2 half balls instead of one whole one, and decorated them so the kids could see what the inside of Uranus looked like. I'm almost embarrassed to tell the story.

Anyway, if you did that, but flipped the half balls over, you'd get yourself a nice rack!

Oh wow, why would anyone bring that TO WORK?! Craziness.

I think our family is used to me and my boobs Ok, maybe that doesn't sound right, but I'm very open about breastfeeding, post pics, talk about it, etc... I think they're half expecting a boob cake lol
