Re: Nursing in Babies R Us...ewww

I've never been in ours but that would gross me out too!

Sorry that happened I nursed at our once, when DS was in the distracted by everything (including stuff in the car) grumpy phase. Not my favorite thing, but at least ours was clean and the chair was comfy. I am super glad DS is out of that phase though and we can go on our way and nurse where ever we are.

Yuck, that sounds awful. Our BRU doesn't have a nursing station, unfortunately, so I've been known to nurse in the display gliders as well.

BRU and their Mother's Room is my saving grace. It is really the only way an EPer can leave the house for any period of time! The one at my store is a pretty small room and it locks so only one person is in there at a time. DH and I go in and I pump while we feed the babies. If we need to be out and about all day we just go to BRU over and over again. I just take a blanket to put over the couch for us to sit on and to set the babies down if we need to.

Re: Nursing in Babies R Us...ewww

Yeah it sounds like it might have been a snowball experience beginning with a nasty bathroom. I HATE changing my baby in public restrooms that are icky.

After trying it once in the "family" bathroom at IKEA I'll never feed in a public "breastfeeding room" again. At first I thought it was nice that they had a chair that was good for feeding, then I noticed the spots on the chair ... Yeah-no.

But ... I'm not a cover-er either except in very unusual circumstances. I'd mostly use a designated nursing area because it was more comfy, but as far as I gather so far they are the same health hazard as a public bathroom.

Our BRU doesn't even have a nursing room, just bathrooms. However, I nursed in the section with all the rocking chairs before.
