Is there any seat that would work up to booster age so I don't have to buy 2 seats in between now and booster?

We have one of these seats and they work fine for us but my son HATES it for long car rides. So I have it as my back up seat.

Just something to keep in mind if you are in the car for long periods of a time (I say over 45 minutes).

Those will be more expensive

If you can swing it, a Graco My Ride 65 will be a great option. RF to 40lbs, FF to 65lbs, and after that it's likely perfectly safe to just get a HBB. You can get those at walmart or online in other places probably a little cheaper. It runs $150ish.

There are LOTS of convertibles that will last to booster age, but (as a pp said), they are more expensive.

How old is your lo and how much does he/she weigh?

she is about 6 months....weighs 18 lbs.
