Blogs or Forums for HSing Newbies?
I am looking for Blogs or Forums where I can go to for advice on just about anything HSIng. I know DS is a great start, but I know there are 1000s more out there. It might even lend itself to helping me find HS groups near me...
Any help is appreciated! Can I post this type of question on DS?

Re: Blogs or Forums for HSing Newbies?
There are TONS of resourses out in the World Wide Web! Just google and all sorts of things will pop up. We all have our favorites and always remember that what works for one may not work for the other.
What are the ages of your children you plan to homeschool? Just off the top of my head here are two that I really like 1+1+1=1 and Confessions of a Homeschooler |

Re: Blogs or Forums for HSing Newbies?
My kids are almost 4 (sept) and a little over 2 1/2...and 8 months. I am just starting slow and fun with the 4 yr old. He already knows his ABCs and can count to 15...then after that it gets a little jumbled. (giggle) He can also add and subtract amounts less than 10 (using objects). I am not really doing anything with my 2 1/2 yr old...he will listen to the books we read and participate in what he would like when not napping.
I know there is a lot of info out there, I was getting soooooo overloaded. There was just TOO much...I was having trouble narrowing it down. (blush)

Re: Blogs or Forums for HSing Newbies?
You will find a ton of places to surf if you go to a home schooling blog carnival. The latest one is here, and they are hosted different places each week. I believe Why Homeschool always posts the link to whomever is hosting.

Re: Blogs or Forums for HSing Newbies?
These are great sites. Thank you everyone. There are so many sites out there. I look for the ones that seem like my style of homeschooling and my beliefs. The ones mentioned in this thread so far are right there with me. All the blogs I have looked at are great...hats off to you mamas!!!
