PC games?

Does anyone know of any good learning PC games for a 3yr, 5yr and 7yr old. My children like playing computer games but I would really rather buy them then find them for free on the internet. (only because I don't want my children using the internet yet). Also it doesn't matter if they are all separate games, prefer christian based to, (but so far I can't find any christian based PC games anywhere.) Any suggestions would be great!

4 year old DS really likes the Hooked on Math game that came with one of our Hooked on Phonics kits...can't remember if it was the pre-k or kindergarten one.

www.starfall.com is really great and once you get on the site its pretty difficult for LOs to maneuver away from it, it has a TON of great pre-reading and reading activities.

My DD has a few good games:

Logical Journey of the Zoombinis

We have this Caillou game which is good for littles.

Lexia Reading - this is a great phonics based program. It works on XP or earlier computers.

Re: PC games?

I was able to get this for free through a swagbucks survey I did (for testing it out). www.abcmouse.com

I don't know if it's free otherwise, but my 3.5 son loves it. Lots of little mini games that are ALL educational. They have games and puzzles for each letter of the alphabet even! There are different levels for each subject, and you can set up an account for each child who uses it. So far, I haven't found anything bad about it except that my son gets upset when I tell him his computer time is done.

Re: PC games?

We like the jump start games. Also School zone has good educational software. Kearnan got a math game with one of his giant workbooks and seems to enjoy it. http://www.schoolzone.com/

We just got one with some books we had ordered from DK http://www.avanquest.com/USA/educati...ulum-software/ We may order more from here depending on how we like the one on the human body.

Really we use mostly the free websites like cosmeo, pbskids and starfall.

I've looked into jumpstart and it seems like something i'm really interested in. It has something for each of the kids regardless of age.
