How to brew loose tea with NO teapot or real strainer?

Is this possible? I'm supposed to have catnip tea to help with PTL per my midwife, but it only comes in dried leaf form here. I have no teapot and I think we have a strainer somewhere but the girls wandered off with it, so for all intents & purposes I don't have one. All the instructions I've seen involve teapots/kettles. Thanks!

MAYBE (really not sure but just an idea) if you have some cheesecloth (although I don't use cheesecloth so I'm not sure if the holes might be too big?) or even a clean tshirt? You could boil some water on the stove or in the microwave. I THINK you just need something to get the "flavor" out of the tea bag and so you're not drinking the tea leaves...

if you have a thin piece of fabric in your house just cut a small square and put the loose tea in the middle and pull the sides up and use string ,yarn or thread to tie it. or just put the loose tea in the water then use the fabric as a strainer to strain it into your cup (coffee filter would work for that too )

Ah, great!! I have fabric practically coming out of my ears so I can make a "tea bag" or two easily. Thanks!!

You can also use a coffee filter, if you have any of those. Just tie one off around the tea leaves.

I make a looseleaf tea every day for this pregnancy, and I just use cheesecloth to strain it.

nylon (like pantyhose) should make a good strainer

I don't even strain my loose leaf tea....does that make me odd?
