Re: Knitters/Hookers/Spinners/Dyers *WIP* 8/4

I'm not sure how much we spend on groceries... I do most of the cooking but DH does all of the shopping. I think it is about $100 - $125/week... we have a family of 5; my 15 yo eats enough for four people (esp during football season)... but my 2 yo doesn't eat much of anything at all so it almost balances out.

We spend about $200 a week on groceries and it's me, DH, my 20 year old brother, and 3 kids. Everything is more expensive up here because it takes so much to get it here, kwim?

Lauren- I am horrible at saving on groceries too. I can't justify running to a million different stores to get the "best deals", I just don't think that would be good for my psyche! I am high strung as it is. And the colorway is Sugarbubbie Promise me Autumn.
YAY! I actually have 2 skeins of MM's Lorelei and some black wool yarn for trim I could use. Do you think that colorway is too much for 6 month old? I still have to buy the pattern too.

Hey ladies I haven't contributed in a while, but I FINALLY finished up spinning the 3 oz of DK weight silk. 201 yards

I'm spinning up this s/w corriedale fiber that I dyed now. It is going to be used in a boy collab with Lyn of Get Hooked.

I got my Yarnoodles yesterday and figured out why I love both colorways so much. The only difference between the Earth Candy Rainbow and the Uptown Girl is that the ECR has brown, and the UG has black! They are so close I don't know that I can justify keeping both, kwim? They are GORGEOUS IRL though

morning ladies!! I have to be listing a bunch of stuff on spots today because DH's paycheck was short and we got a few un paid bills. so boo on that. and I have lots of nice yarn going to. I may ask you all what I should sell stuff for because I forget what I paid for each. on top of that I won an auction for some yarn and I have to pay because I dont want a bad feedback, so I have to sell lots of stuff. boooo. lol
knitting wise. I grafted the hood to my SH finally!!! and am working on the trim around it!! so soon that will be done!!! I hope everyone has a good day!!!

I DREAM of having two refrigerators. 3 years ago, when we moved into our house, I picked out a fridge for my birthday. When DH went to go get it for me it was backordered so HE decided to pick out one without consulting me first. Not only does one ENTIRE door consist of 6, yes 6, pop holders but half of the main fridge area is taken up by an automatic ice dispenser. Ugh. Men. I have absolutely NO condiment storage.
You are lucky to have locally raised pork/game. There is nothing better than eating fresh.

Oh, I Lorelei! It is so pretty! I think purple is a good fall color too.

It's in no way glamorous...one is in the ktichen (ss) and the other one is in the utility room...and the freezer is in the garage. It works for him and he likes it that way. He cracks me up.

When he hunts, he does make a good thai duck roll and the ribs in the summer are to die for - sooo yummy!
