Re: April 2010 Lil Peeps!!!

My neighbor just had a baby boy last week and has ALL of our boy clothes now. I'm so glad I get to see them all again!

Re: April 2010 Lil Peeps!!!

Good to get on here and see updates on the babies, grown into toddlers.

We're good. Liza just had her 15 m appointment (just a week late) and is still bitty. She weighs high 17 lbs. I think we may have some blood work drawn for celiacs and hashimotos thyroiditis in a couple weeks. I think she's just small but because her sister has two autoimmune diseases and she's had a poor tummy it wouldn't be shocking and should probably be ruled out. She's happy and thriving otherwise, just bitsy.

Big kids start Kindergarten in less than four weeks! (Bawl!) I can't believe my teensy wee twins are full blown kids. They are so excited.

Aurelie, Sadie is the same size. At her 15 month she was 17 pounds 12 ounces. She had the bloodwork done for celiac, it was negative. She is a bit anemic.....one doctor wanted to test her for cf. I am not a carrier and she was tested at her newborn screen and was negative so I did not take her in for the sweat test. She is going in for a feeding evaluation in a few weeks........that should be interesting! I am quite certain that she is just going to be small
In all other areas she is totally fine, just teensy tiny!

Robyn, I love passing the baby clothes on and seeing them on another little one!!!

Re: April 2010 Lil Peeps!!!

Hi there! Every now and then I hop on here to check in on everyone, but I always seem to get interrupted before I get to post!

Anyway, glad to see all the updated stats and pics - I can't believe how big the April '10 babes are!! Amelia is about 21lbs. She's so much fun

DS also heads off to kindergarten in a few weeks. He's excited, but I'm already starting to feel a little sad about it.

I have a big box of CDs that we just don't use waiting to go to the local consignment shop tomorrow (not feeling up to the task of everything that goes into listing them on FSOT, even if it would get me a few more $$). What do you think it means that I can't bring myself to put my newborn stash in there?? Haha! Even DH, when I told him what I was doing asked, with a sad look on his face, "Even the tiny baby diapers?!" Seems like every other day we have a different opinion on having a 3rd. Funny thing is that usually the days he wants another I've decided I don't, and vice versa! Oh well, even if we do, I think we'd wait until spring to TTC - I don't think I could cope with being in 3rd tri in the summer here!

I'm popping in to say hello and let you all know that I'm going to have another April baby!! I'm not sure of the due date yet because I haven't had my first appointment yet, but if all goes well, Hazel will be a big sister sometime right after her 2nd birthday.

Re: April 2010 Lil Peeps!!!

Congratulations!!!!!
Things are good here.Josh recently had an appt at Doernbecher Childrens in Portland at the Feeding Clinic to address some of the issues he is having. He chews more with his non microtia affected side so we are going to start Occupational Therapy this fall specifically feeding therapy.Right now my strategy is finding food that he can eat and won't choke on.He has oral delays meaning his left side is more like an 8 month old while his right side is almost 17 months.
The best news is that he can discontinue the pediasure and once again start on cows milk so far he isn't taking that very well.He is still a booby baby much to everyones dismay.I wish people would leave me alone about weaning.
Josh weighed 20 lbs even and he is 29 inches tall he gained about half an inch in the last month which is a huge growth spurt for Josh.

That's awesome! Congrats Kristine!

Missy, I hope they lay off. I'm sure his jaw is that strong because he's been nursing so long.

We are still nursing full time here. Will just won't give up his boobs. Lol. He finally has hit over 20lbs he stayed 19lbs for the longest and he's now 22lbs he still a peanut compared to his brothers at this age lol. I'm in the process of switching drs up here. The one we were assigned turned out to be a horrible dr. I had heard a few complaints but wanted to give her a chance in the 3 times we've seen her once for Eian and twice for will she never once checked wills ears and he has a history of ear infections and she has his records I gave them to her personally. At his 16 month check up she informed me that I need to push his forskin back and clean or it'll get so tight he won't be able to pee. Wow she's way out dated. And not even that old. Needless to say I know how to care for an intact boy will is my 3rd lol. They won't be seeing her again. We've been in ny for 8 months now. Alex is home as started 1st grade. Eian is in the special needs preschool and doing good. An Will stays home with me. It's not bad up here I've made a few friends. I do miss having my family around to help with the kids. We did get two sitters last month for me and Joel to have a date night for our 2nd anniversary. One of his young single soldiers came to the house and kept Alex and Eian and one of the army wives kept will. Was nice to go out and not fight kids.

Josh is saying so many new words each new word is music to this mamas ears. His latest are duck and toast.Josh has a craniofacial abnormality and is partially deaf so every little word is music to this mamas ears.
Hard to believe little man will be 18 months this week which means we have been nursing 18 months I never thought I would see this number cause neither of my girls made it beyond a year and were always supplemented.Josh is still in our bedroom I am torn about moving him to his room he needs to be in a bigger bed but I am not sure I want to wean at bedtime.Do I nurse to sleep then lay him in his bed?I don't mind nursing at night but I am starting to want sleep again.Oh the guilt
