Re: how do you plan on dressing you CD'd newborn?
All my kids have LIVED in sleepers, espscially my ODD and the newbie, both Dec babies and its COLD here in Canada, fleece sleepers are my favorite
I have lots of gowns too, and when it warms up a bit (in april lol) I have a big stash of babylegs and soakers I can't wait to use~

Re: how do you plan on dressing you CD'd newborn?
DS#1 was a summer baby so all of his hand me downs are short sleeve for the nb size so I purchased a handful of long sleeve lap tees and we kept DS#2 in those with wool longies or cotton sleep gowns with a wool or fleece wrap/cover over his CD.
Once the weather breaks and we can finally enjoy some warmer temperatures I plan to keep him in t-shirts and wool/fleece shorts/soakers at home and regular clothing when we go out with trim cover over his CD. Experience with CDing DS#1 influenced me to give away all of his onsies. I prefer regular shirts or kimono style shirts when using CDs.

Re: how do you plan on dressing you CD'd newborn?
Our DD was born Dec 15th. I planned on using onesies & whatever anyone gave us, but what I found to be most helpful was using babylegs {http://babylegs.com} with a shirt, CD & socks. That way she stays warm, but I don't have the hassle of taking off pants or even un-snapping a onesie each time there's a diaper change.
