Re: August 2009 Babies ~ Happy Birthday!!

Carolyn~ Did they use the ear thermometer? When I worked at the hospital everyone would fight over the ear thermometer but I would never use it I had times where I took the temp orally and they took it with the ear thermometer, there's looked fine and orally they had a high temp, I saw time and time again temps being missed with the ear one (they can also be missed orally if they have just ate or drank something). I trust feeling like burning up over anything else, if my thermometer don't agree I take it again. I hope today finds him feeling better. I found over the years that if I just left the high temps alone they recovered so much quicker and my firstborn initiated me with temps of almost 105 everytime he got sick, so 102 ended up looking mild to me. My plan became to treat if he went over 105 and depending on response take him in, cause they say the body will usually hold it to 105 if it goes above that then it may be a more worrisome problem, anyways he never did break 105. My other time I treated is if they just can't sleep at night cause if we can't all sleep, we can't get better.

Morgan~ How you feeling today?

Sara~ Have fun at work!

Kelly~ How is it going with the surrogacy search?

Nicole~ Hope today is more restful.

Tina~ How did your evening go last night? We need to paint some rooms too. We did a room with a blue sky, rolling grassy hills, and a big tree with butterflys hanging everywhere in our girls room a few years back. It is a lot of fun to do themed rooms.

Hadley~ At some point you should get some energy, if not remember your health and those little ones are more important than anything you need to get done.

Mae~ You probably should stop looking at yarn saying this as I lock my closet door not letting anyone look and see that I really don't need anymore either

Re: August 2009 Babies ~ Happy Birthday!!

Crissi, the meeting went fine, except that we were there for 2 whole hours and they boys didn't get into bed until 9:15. We let them sleep in this morning to help a little, but I still bet they have a rough day because of it. We got a lot accomplished though and several questions answered so we shouldn't have to have long meetings like that again until we are almost ready for VBS.

I also let fevers get pretty high before I treat them, and pretty much only treat them at night. I have found when I treat them and keep them low that it takes them longer to get better.

Sara, I hear ya on the weather. We have had some lovely weather and now we are back to cold as well. I am ready for it to really be spring already. I can't say too much though, my brother lives in Montana and they took these beautiful pics of the first day of spring and the very next day they got a foot of snow.

We are having a great day here. Todd took the day off so we could hang out. We are getting ready to go to lunch and a movie, and for my super exciting news I got a positive OPK!!!!!!!! I hope we catch this one.

LOL @ the DP's.

Nicole- Can't wait to see what you do with the cascade.

Carolyn- How annoying with the temps differences.

Like Morgan, Iam crazy busy with customs. LOL

Hopefully the rain stops!!!

OMG with the DPs! LOL! AHH!

Mae, the first batch is pink, brown, green, and natural. I am soooooooooo excited. It should be done setting in about 2.5 hours. I'll have to charge up the camera battery so I can take pictures while it's cooling off.

Today's not much better than yesterday. Grace took another fall (I am considering just getting rid of everything! AHHH! We'll eat on the floor if that's what it takes!!). We woke up super early and took DH to work, grocery shopping, blah-blah-blah. I think I'm going to nap. Both babies are asleep.
