Re: I am truly horrible saying this......

Oh it's done me good to read this thread... I have two boys age 7 and 2...At times they can make enough noise for 50 kids... I too can not call a voice automated system. My two year old we call the screaming mimi.. He screams when he is happy, he screams when he is mad, he screams when he has NOTHING better to do!!

SO I can relate to everyone that has posted. My oldest had heart surgery at 18 days and my youngest was born with 9 fingers and 10 toes. So in their short little lives they have a surgery and all that fun stuff. So that is my reminder that I am very glad that they are other wise VERY HEALTH children..

BUT I would be LOST without my fenced in back yard and the slide!!!

DS is only 8.5 months, so he's not super loud. But, I actually thrive on noise, in fact I hate the silence when he is napping.

Re: I am truly horrible saying this......

My ears just ache at the end of the day some days, lol. I guess the ony thing I can say is I'm greatful for the ability to hear their shrieks and screams (sometimes that's not as helpful in the moment, but reflecting on the days events later on)

DS is young yet, and there's only one of him, but I LOVE the noise. When he's shrieking and being loud, it's usually because he's happy and having a blast. His "chasing the dog" shriek is my favorite sound in the world.

DD is almost one, but there are times when we have to say "Please quiet down baby!"... She's just a little overenthusiastic... I hear ya momma!
