HELP! Please! Fleece Liners? Prefolds?

Im new to cloth diapering. I started out using pockets which I have the hang of and understand pretty well. I have been using prefolds and covers the past week. My son pretty much stays soaked. Not enough that they leak, I bought a bunch of indian cotton premuim prefolds and prepped them the right way. They absorb great. But still he has this soaking wet prefold on his skin. Ive saw alot of talk about fleece and flannel liners. Are those to act as a barrier like the liner in a pocket? I know they are good to have if you need to use any diaper rash creams to keep it off the CD. But are they also used to keep away the moisture? And which is best? Who is a reccommned WAHM to get them from? Thanks alot mommas!!

If you have a local fabric store, you can buy a yard usually under 6.00 or so, and cut them up yourself , polyester fleece is what you need and it will not fray when you cut the edges.

I did this, except I cut up a fleece blanket I was not using. It does help keep moisture away from the skin!

Fleece is stay-dry but flannel maybe not. I use fleece liner, got them from the dollar store. The kind being sold as fleece blankets. I just cut them, no need to sew

Yes .. the fleece acts as a liner between the absorbant stuff and babys skin, so that babys skin isnt touching the wet absorbant stuff. Go to a fabric store and get some anti-pill fleece, cut it up whatever size you need it ... you can use one of your inserts from your pocket dipes to trace. Like she said, the fleece will not fray so there is no need to sew.

I thought anti-pill fleece is what you use to sew covers??? You need micro-fleece for liners. To test your fleece take a washcloth or towel and set it underneathe squirt some water on, if it goes thru you can use it if it pools and doesnt' soak thru it's only good for a cover.

I have some I made for sale. I did a lot of trial and error buying fleece from the fabric store. This is the right stuff.
