This is the one I got.
I'm going to quote myself in hopes that a spinner sees this. I kept trying last night but it wouldn't feed into the spool. No clue if that's what it's called or not. LOL! and it would get super twisted then snap. My husband kept saying "oh no you've been doing it for 20 minutes and you haven't mastered it" Yeah, yeah shaddup man.

It's nice...about the same thickness as Gaia Bulky, so a good weight for thick longies. It's maybe a touch less soft than worsted BBR but it softens up after washing. This mama wanted thick, warm longies so these should work out great.

I know how much the wool is and how long it can take to make them.
I can't justify spending that much either, though I totally understand the costs. They take lots of hours to make, and materials etc.

I did, however, trade a bunch of my yarn for it. Emmy LOVES baby dolls, so she'll be thrilled. I'm gonna knit her and the baby a matching dress, and give it to her for christmas.

I'm new, so I'm no help. There are spinning groups on rav, both a beginners one and I bet an ashford one too.

I looked up the basic supplies to make one and it was about $80. Im thinking of trying my hand at making one for DD with some stuff I have around the house

I want to try Dup stitch. What is the best yarn to use for that. Would this work??
