I can't justify spending that much either, though I totally understand the costs. They take lots of hours to make, and materials etc.

I did, however, trade a bunch of my yarn for it. Emmy LOVES baby dolls, so she'll be thrilled. I'm gonna knit her and the baby a matching dress, and give it to her for christmas.



I'm new, so I'm no help. There are spinning groups on rav, both a beginners one and I bet an ashford one too.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I learned the opposite--that you want the same or thicker yarn so the underlying stitches are covered well. I try to use the same yarn I used for the knitting so it does look like part of the knitting.

All you have to do is follow directions! I almost never use charts, just the written directions.
yeah, charts and me don't get along. If it is written out I would be ok though!
