I would clean it as best as you can and then sun it out side and then let is sit for 2 weeks. IMO if it is wool It might be able to be saved

I think it would be fine. Hayley's suggestion sounds good. If I can't wash something after a virus goes around, I let it sit for a couple weeks, away from us, and then give it back. No issues here. I'd wash it, dry it on HOT, then let it sit.

Oh yeah and use TTO in the water you wash it in. let it soak a long long time.

If anything save it till she is past the stuffing things in her mouth stage

If you are going to try and save it, I have heard that putting things in the freezer for twenty four hours kills everything on it. In addition to washing it of course.
