morning mamas.

woke up at 6:45 to 2 boys trying to break into the girls room which was barricaded by 3 little girls not the way I'd have chosen to wake up normally.

the morning keeps going down hill...now that Jahiem finally has his meds again he's acting worse than EVER....the last 3 days has seriously tried my patience and I'm VERY low on that commodity atm. I need a break in a bad way.

BUT I was informed that there is only respite available for foster parents I would have to have someone I know go and get a background check and watch the kids for me....REALLY? I never even have anyone willing to watch MY kids much less willing to watch my kids + 3 more!!!

Peggy your are getting the short end of the stick all the way around. It is not fair. Ill join your pity party too. If you cant get respite because your not a "foster" parent then why would it even matter if the people you choose to watch your kids needed a backround check. IT all sounds like horse poop to me. IT is unfair!!! Whats happening to you is whats wrong with our system.

Anyone doing anything special for Labor Day? I'm doing Diaper Laundry (which w/ 2 in dipes isn't as bad as I'd though!) Then take pics of the leaky diapers to list on FSOT - I"m SLOWLY thinning out this stash!

thanks, Kari! It just seems like I have to every single little thing, but I'm NOT getting the same treatment/benefits as a foster parent so it is starting to really wear on me. I have to do all the same stuff....but I haven't taken the foster parenting classes and the children are family so I just get the short end, as you said!

I mean, what foster parent would have to wait 4 MONTHS to receive their benefits???? they wouldn't.!!
