Name Help

Morning Ladies,
DH and I are having a hard time with names for our 4th DD. We just feel all thegood names a re used up.

We have been calling the bean "lily" now for a few months and it really sticks. But finding a middle name is the pits. We have always used family names and such.

I also would like to use a proper frist names and really I would like to use Lilith. It means "of the night". I think t is perfect fo a halloweenish baby.

Any ideas for middles? Lilith Anne is our default right now. But Anne feel so generic. And of course both sets pf Gparents wince at lilith but we are going to call her Lily any way.

Re: Name Help

If you take one of the G'parents middle or first name (or a derivitive) and use that as Lily's middle name, perhaps that would cut down on the complaining.

My Dad didn't like the name "Clarice" for our youngest because of the movie Silence of the Lambs. We weren't even thinking about that movie when we named her, and he's gotten over it since then.

Name her what you want - they'll get used to it.

Maybe Lilith Amelia? Dunno why I like it, but Amelia still sounds along the lines of Anne, but maybe not so simple? I like Lilith, though I had an aunt named Lillian, which I guess could also be shortened to Lily...

I think your parents will eventually love whatever you pick, because they'll start to associate that name with their precious little granddaughter and not whatever association they have now.

Re: Name Help

Lillian Grace was on my short list of girl names with Lily for short. But I think Lilith Grace could work. When we found out this baby was a boy I deleted my girl name list, but if you do a search there was a thread awhile back with girl names and I think I posted my entire list.

G/L and for what it's worth - don't worry about who likes or dislikes your choice in baby names. The way I tell my in-laws - you named your kids now we're naming ours and what you think and/or suggest makes no difference to us, lol. We refuse to tell them our little guys name and it drives them nuts

Well if you decided to not name her Lilith, but just Lily, then I LOVE the name Lily Hayden, but then again I am just biased

I'm of no help...I've been digging through boy names and am totally absorbed in trying to find a cool boy names. When we thought it might be a girl we were thinking of Coretta (as in Coretta Scott King) or Marlowe. Lilly Marlowe would be pretty. I love Arianna, Estella, and Ora.
Good luck! For now we just call ours "little".

Re: Name Help

It's funny, we've been stuck on Lily with no middle name for months! Not sure what we are having but I have a feeling if we don't come up with something it will be a girl LOL! I'm due the end of October but I never finish so I figure I only have 4 weeks or so until the LO arrives! We have tossed the name Evangeline around a few times but it hasn't stuck yet. So any suggestions would be much appreciated by me too!
