Me either honestly. The radiologist said 8 is normal so I guess it might be graded out of 10. He said he wouldn't be alarmed at 6. So I am thinking 2 is about as bad as it gets. He was considering sending me straight to the hospital if I didn't have my appointment in a few hrs. So prepping for the worst case scenario. I just want a healthy baby. No longer concerned about how when it gets here.

Just forget everything I said here. It obviously wasn't good enough and I'm not up for it today.

- You're in my thoughts Tracy.

Re: Tell me it will be ok

A BPP without an NST is just scored out of 8.

If the baby didn't move and didn't practice "breathing movements" her 2 would have been from having adequate fluid. With no movement, that is a 0 for movement and 0 for tone. (If the baby moves much at all, that counts as a 2 for both... it can be deceptively easy to "Fail") Adequate fluid is the MOST important factor, and as long as you've got 2-4 cm in there somewhere, you're still doing well

Without an NST, a BPP isn't much better than just a kick count.

Babies often only 'practice' breathing for 30s to 1m every hour, so it's easy to miss that! Especially when the window for a BPP is only 30 minutes.

If you are FEELING any movement (remember to put your hands on your belly, sometimes when we get farther along we can't feel little movements from the inside any more) then your baby is probably fine!

Don't forget... a BPP is like a snapshot of how the baby is doing at one moment. Baby might have been having a rough time, but pulled out of it and is doing fine now! Keep breathing, keep praying, and let us know how it goes

Oh Tracy. I am thinking about you and praying for you and your sweet babe. From what Lori and TempestBeauty described this score could change quickly. Let us know.
