Diaper Swappers

I am not new to bf'ing and have in the past with ds2 had a clogged duct that was VERY painful. It was all red, swollen with a line coming from it. Fun. With ds3 I am having a very tender right breast. It hurts just to touch it on one side. There is no lump or red swollen area so I am thinking not an infection. But man is it SORE...any ideas as to what it could be? It has been like this for several days now and I am wondering if I should see my doctor. With that statement who the heck do you see for this? Just the general practitioner?

I hate it when no one responds. Did you have any kind of hit to your breast? I am not sure about me since I have 2 other boys that rough house all the time so I am always getting in the way of blows and such. How long have you been sore?

I'd go to the doctor, if so. You can see your GP or your OBGYN/midwife.

I will say it does feel bruised. I haven't noticed a hard lump or warm feeling as I did with ds2. It was SO obvious then with all the classic symptoms. So this is just weird because it just feels bruised. It is more sore when engorged but what wouldn't be with that much fluid pushing everything into max stretch mode

I was recently on a zpack,2wks ago, for an ear infection so I wonder if that screwed up my system some how. Speaking of which my ear is still full of fluid...fun...I wonder if I am having allergies and that is contributing to this whole thing.

Hmm... weird indeed. The antibiotics would lead me to ask about possible thrush, but you're not really describing thrush symptoms.

Mine is starting to feel better. It is possible I got hit, I teach Kinder, but I don't think so. Kinda felt like a clogged duct but couldn't feel any lumps. I've just been nursing like crazy and putting hot rags on it and its been helping.

Mine is still sore but I think I will try the heat too. Can't hurt.
