Re: How Many of you have had ultrasounds

DS1 was deteremined to be a boy at my 20 week ultrasound. We didn't find out by choice with DS2 so I don't know if the tech was right or not.

Re: How Many of you have had ultrasounds

My tech said in 10 years, she had only been wrong twice and one was her own sister. Ouch! So we felt pretty confident.

Re: How Many of you have had ultrasounds

They were right with all 3 of mine before. Not gonna find out with this one.

But at my ultrasound place, the nurses always told me if they are not 100% sure, they just will not tell you. Even if there's a small doubt. Or if it's any earlier than 18 weeks. Just for the purpose of not saying it's one or the other, only to have a little surprise at the end of the pregnancy!

I found that comforting.

Re: How Many of you have had ultrasounds

well, my first ultrasound the doc said girl. The next one he said, Oh defenitely boy! He runs all his own ultrasounds, via a small ultrasound machine in his office (nowhere near as technological as the ultrasounds at a lab). I'm gettting a 3d ultrasound next week, one big reason to try to find out the baby's gender. Right now I'm leaning towards boy just because having a boy was a bigger "adjustment" (he will be the first boy in our family for thirteen years-can you believe how little I've had to do with little boys, wow!) and if it's a girl, well-I have a dd and there are TONS of hand me downs already.

Re: How Many of you have had ultrasounds

My Nephew was supposed to be a girl.....I'm not sure how many scans she had, or at how many weeks. This was in March, so it still happens.
