Diaper Swappers

Daycare has agreed to use snap dipes since the velcro keeps rolling in & rubbing ds' belly. To make it really easy, I'd like to do what i've heard others do-cover all but the snaps they should use (this'll make it easier for dh too). I'm confused by the Kam snap website & what I need. What parts of the snap do I need to buy? There are cap, studs, sockets, various sizes, etc.
What size do I need for BGs, what about Fuzzibunz or bottombumpers? Can anyone help???

You want size 20 for all cloth diapers. A complete set is 2 caps, 1 socket and 1 stud. The cap is the backing to the snap, a stud is 'male' part of the snap and the socket is the 'female'. So the stud snaps into the socket. I hope that makes sense...

So if I'm reading it right, I would most likely need both the cap & stud parts to cover up the socket part on the front of the dipes, right?

Oh, and do I actually need a press or pliers to use them? I was hoping I could just snap them onto the open snaps.

I'm not 100% sure how you want to cover the snaps but yes, if you want it to 'snap' into the socket part you would need both studs and caps. You always need a cap paired with either a socket or stud. You do need pliers or a snap press to push the two parts together.

How many will you need? I think I understand what you're trying to do and could probably do it for you and mail them to you for just the cost of snaps.

It might be helpful for you to watch their instructional youtube video...I was sort of confused until I did... I just finished converting my entire stash, and I did it with just pliers. (I can't wait to post a few pics!)

The pliers will be your best bet, if you are only doing your own diapers.

WAIT - you already have snap diapers and you just want to cover up the snaps not in use so Dad and daycare know where to snap closed the diaper comfortably (with out having to think about it)

The green snaps are JUST the stud part of the snap - and NO you do not need pliers ....just buy the stud part of the snap and it will snap onto the socket part without a cap to cover up the socket.
ETA they should all be size 20
