Re: Basically it's Saturday!

Good morning Trish! Thanks for checking in on the thread! We'd love to see pics of Logan and Lily now, if you ever have the chance. ST is due with another baby exactly a year from her little Myra's birthday - she'd probably love to hear how it is to have two that close together!

Love Fynn's new Snugglepants Janine. He looks adorable.

Ru is off to work and E and I are watching Sesame Street. I have pinto beans going in the crock pot for refried beans. We'll be having those with lentil tacos for supper. I need to double-check though, I think I'll need Ru to stop at the store on the way home because we are almost out of chili powder.

Re: Basically it's Saturday!

First test bottle with the organic cows milk 3.5% went down well. He grinned all over his face when he saw it (which made me happy and sad too...but he wasn't to know what was in there, it could have been BM) and guzzled it down quickly with no fussing.

Now I'll be watching him like a hawk to make sure there are no reactions to it. I gave him 4floz to test it out. I didn't want to give him too much.

How much should he drink as a normal fed on Thursday...6floz? 8floz?

Re: Basically it's Saturday!

Janine, even when E was older and most kids his age were drinking full 8oz bottles, E never drank that much at once. I'd say do 6oz bottles, and I'm sure he'll let your MIL know if he's hungry or thirsty, right? that he doesn't have a reaction.

So I had shellfish (shrimp) last night and had not the slightest bit of a reaction. It's really making me want to not wait the three days, and have a coffee this morning. Like, a LOT!

Ginger was the only guzzler in the family. Rosie and Ian never drank more than 6oz in a sitting, and don't do more than 4oz now. I wouldn't worry about it, chances are he's going to intake differently with you away and who knows if it's going to be more or less. It's out of your hands now. He'll be fine.

DH took the girls to the McDs playland. Sis is still crashed, we stayed up talking until 2am last night. I *was* playing with Ian in the basement, but he threw a block at my knee and now I'm out for the season, LOL. So he's playing computer games now while I enjoy just a bit of quiet and a diet DP and a icepack.

Ok, thanks Mel

I know you really really want to but hold back. Be good, it's worth sticking to the rules. It would be a shame to have a reaction not because you react to coffee but because you've added too many new things at once, yk.

Re: Basically it's Saturday!

I figured out why DH is cranky. No friday night whoopee, had to get up with all of us instead of do his own thing, still doesn't know what the day holds because my family always does things by the seat of their pants. So doesn't get what he wants, disrupts his routine, lots of change and unknown. Hmmm...deja vu...and I wonder why my kids are the way they are.

Re: Basically it's Saturday!

Convo with Ian last night during bedtime routine.
Mama, here's your phone.
Thank you, Ian.
Mama, call grandma.
No Ian, Grandma is already asleep. She goes to bed before you.
Mama, wake up Grandma.
No Ian, let Grandma sleep.
Mama, call Grandma and say Cockadoodledoo!

Ugh, it's pouring now. WTH are we going to
