Oh man Janine...it does NOT sound horrible, we all know what you are saying. Are there no other choices for teachers? I cant believe what she is doing to Shannon and you.

I cannot imagine a teacher that doesn't want to meet with a parent. They should be grateful that a parent wants to meet with them.

Cecelia, I hope you have a very restful healing day.

Jenn, I'm totally sick too. My sinuses are killing me. I'm keeping the kids home, they all have slight fevers (99.5-100). I'm pretty sure Ginger's and Ian's sinuses are full too, I think Rosie's drainage is just going down her throat and making it sore. I just want to die.

I have been given a fun project to do though that I'm excited about. A mother who works in the building where Derry has speech therapy saw me knitting today and asked me to make a fingerless gloved for her son Jacob. I've met Jacob before, he's a lovely boy. He's blind and can't/wont wear gloves because he cant feel his stick properly. She wants a fingerless glove in grey for him to wear on the hand he uses to carry his stick.

Good Morning everyone.

Cecila im glad the surgery went well and your feeling ok.

Jenn sorry abotu the sickies.

Janine when my neice and nephew lived with me it was tough. My nephew is bi polar/add before being diagonised. I waked in to the school every day before and after school to drop and pick him up from his classroom, mostly so i could have direct contact with the teacher. Luckilly he had a great teacher! I couldnt imagine having a teacher that was esentially stonewalling me. I would be causing a scene. bUt i dont know how the education system in Germany works. Myabe that is one of the differences?

Re: Basically it's Tuesday.

Yup, I think your only recourse the immediate future is for her to be doing the work during Hort, since she's not doing at school for whatever reason. Can you ask the teacher to call you for a telephone conference? So you can at least get an idea why she's not doing her work at school?

I can tell you if that was happening for Rosie, chances are the teacher could not keep on her about staying on task since there are 25 students in her class and she's the only teacher. She would be getting notes home though. I know when I talked to her teacher she mentioned Rosie does her work very slowly. I just hope by the time we have teacher conferences in November its not such a problem it's keeping her from passing first grade.

Janine ~ I've been home since about 5:30 last night. My surgery was an outpatient procedure done with 4 small incisions. I'm taking vicoden at night and ibuprofen during the day to manage the pain. I'm on lifting restrictions of course, but taking it easy in general.

Mine is going to be the same. Also little incisions and I should be home the same day. Take it easy
