Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
Are you sure your iud is still in? Several mamas have said that theirs fell out and didn't know it. Maybe it fell out and you don't have to worry.

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
That would be awesome. I'm not sure if it still is, I never could feel the strings. I just had it checked, actually, about 2 months ago to see if it was still in place b/c I was having some problems with cramping and such and it was still in (they even did a vaginal ultrasound to confirm). Let's just hope it came out in between now and then!

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
Ugh, I don't think I'll get an IUD again whether I'm pregnant or not. All this worrying about whether I could possibly be putting a probable baby of mine at risk is driving me mad but also making me think...

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
Call OB first thing. Family doc won't touch it. Hugs, the unknown can be so scary, try not to worry until you talk it over with your doc.

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
I would call the OBGYN line and see what they say. The reading I did, it sounds like the IUD needs to be removed ASAP, meaning not waiting at all. When I had my Mirena, I read up on this sort of thing and it scared me, along with the horrible side effects I had from it. I had it removed. You should call tonight and not wait until the morning. That line is very much there and it is very much pink. the chances of that being a "false positive" are pretty slim. Praying everything turns out ok.

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
So...I just called and the on call nurse seems to think that it is just an evap line. She said to either test in the morning and let them know or just call in the morning to have a blood test done. I'm having my DH stop by the 24hr walmart on his way home tonight so I can take another one first thing in the AM and then call. I told him to get the ones that just say pregnant or not that way there can't be much mistaking that! Here's to hoping...

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
Oh, and according to her, it "doesn't matter" if the line is pink or whatever color, if it's after a certain time, it's to be considered invalid. She actually sounded kind of irritated that I had called. Oops. I don't know what to think at this point!?! I'm just going to try to relax so I can maybe go to sleep tonight.

Re: So....is this an evaporation line? Pink curved line
I have had several dollar tree tests that had evaporation lines exactly like that. I would retest with a different brand of test in the morning. If it is positive, then give your doc a call, but don't worry until then. No OB is going to pull your IUD tonight anyway.
