Re: Basically, it's Thursday....right?

Steph, that's CRAZY that your DH leaves so early. I can barely walk down the hall to nurse DS2 without falling over at 3am, I can't even imagine trying to get ready for work at that hour.

Morning Mel! Glad you guys had a relatively restful night.

DS1 woke up way early from his afternoon nap (not sure if that's jet lag or because he doesn't need to nap as long nowt hat he's getting older, but I sure hope it's temporary! He played quietly with his cars for a little while, and now we're having a popcorn snack. DH won't be home until probably 6, so I have to figure out something to do for the next 2.5 hours. Maybe I'll let him watch something, it's so hard for me to think of ways to entertain him when most of our stuff isn't here and I'm so tired.

Aw, Heidi, that sucks. All that change and travel is so hard on them at that age. Which makes it a nightmare for you. On top of babycare. Yikes. He will bounce back, it just takes time. I'd rather my kids duke it out at home at bedtime then out in public any day.

Can I get a do over?

Fighting fighting fighting me every step of the way. Crying over what sweater, shoes, etc. Finally get her to school, and because either the bell is about to ring or has already rung, she has to go through the front door instead of the door she normally goes through, more tears. I am so tired of this. Tired of her having to learn the hard way, tired of always being the bad guy, tired of the repercussions of *her* desicisions.

I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of their computer. It wouldn't help her slow/combative issues, but it would help all the other conflict we have here in the morning with the other two.

Poor Janine showed up at the hossy, and they told her she wasn't scheduled until the afternoon. So now she's waiting for somebody to fix it so she's not there ALL DAY. Gah. How horrid.

Re: Basically, it's Thursday....right?

She's actually getting ready in time, it's the fighting over the computer time, which "playtime" is the reward for getting ready early, which is the issue. All three fight over it any time they play all day. I tell them to give Rosie dibs in the morning because the others can play while she's at school. Inevidably Rosie lets Ian have it, so Ginger takes it from him, chaos ensues. Then I have to break up a fight, take it away, and then she fights me every remaining step of getting out the door - sweater, backpack, etc. Today all three of them fought me about getting out the door, so we were later than usual. I think I just need to take it away for a few days, which is going to be rough since my BF will be visiting. Only because of the asking for it 1000000 times a day when they know they can't have it.
