Question about Pre-Washing Softbum Covers and Pods

I got the little instruction card that came with my Softbums (i just bought the shells but i have the Pods coming in the mail)..

It says to wash 3-5 times, Is that the Shell or the Pods or both? Sorry it dident specify and i was confused

I have the OBV pods coming, and also a few of the Bamboo mini Pods, and I also bought a few of the Microfleece pods and mini pods, so do these get all washed together or seperate?

Sorry im confused lol

I think that you wouldn't have to wash the shells that many times. The prepping stage prepares the fibers to be more absorbent. As far as the assorted inserts and mini pods, those can certainly be all prepped together! Hope that helps, Mama!

Re: Question about Pre-Washing Softbum Covers and Pods

if you wash the mf and bamboo pods together then you are committed for the entire prepping process to ensure that the oils get stripped (which is the whole point). Personally I would do the bamboo stuff separate frome everything else as the mf and covers really only need 1 wash. The bamboo though won't be ready for use for at least 3-5 washes and even after that while you can start using them, they won't reach their full absorbancy potential until about the 8th wash or so. hth
