With DD, I went in for a 12 week appt and could hear her hb. At my 8 week, they did an early U/S, but visualized her hb rather than trying to hear it with the doppler.

With this one I heard it w/my first prenatal visit which was at 9 weeks. With son I remember hearing it also at the first visit but I dont remember how far along I was at the time, I didnt keep notes.

with this one, I was 8 weeks 4 days. I found it with my own doppler cause my doc didn't try at the appt that day. She couldn't get the heartbeat the other day at 13 weeks 4 days, so she sent me for an ultrasound. I don't know why she had trouble cause I can find it within 3 seconds of looking. baby just likes mommy better

With dd we heard it at 9 weeks. This one, we still haven't heard.

Though this nurse is always in a hurry and doesn't really try. I'm sure we "could" have heard it by now.

I've rented a doppler for my pregnancies and I've found it as early a 9 weeks but reliably after 11 weeks I could find it without too much trouble

With DD I heard it somewhere around 9-10 weeks. I'm very thin, so it wasn't a problem. But just keep in mind that your build isn't the only factor. With this baby I am the same weight I was when I got pregnant with DD, but we couldn't find the heartbeat with the doppler until 14 weeks due to my placenta being on the front. U/s confirmed the baby was fine before that, but the doppler just couldn't pick it up until 14 weeks because the placenta was in the way.

10w3d w/ my DD. She had an anterior placenta. I rented a doppler and that's the day it arrived in the mail. It took quite awhile for me to find it, but it was very distinct once I did.

My OB found the heartbeat at 8 weeks, 4 days.

My MW found the heartbeat during week 10, but she mentioned that it's fairly early and if we don't hear it it's not a bad sign or anything.
