I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
I am 41w4d (12 days "overdue") and it feels like some kicked me in my pelvis feels with a steel toe boot. OUCH
I know this is probably normal but seriously it feels like a HUGE bruise and even to wear pants is getting unbearable. Other than soaking the HOT bath what can I do to ease the pain?

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
this is part of my issue too! I finally listened to everyone on here and went to the chiropractor and he has me lay on my back and cover my pubic bone with my own hands and then pushes and it cracks- feels and sounds gross but by the time he is done with the rest of my adjustments I can usually walk around almost pain free for a few days
good luck mama!!

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
Thanks Amanda. I have been seeing the chiro for about 6 weeks now and this pain is not something that I think can be adjusted (he does adjust my pelvis at every appointment).
I am SO glad that you are feeling better though. This is my first pregnancy that I have even seen the chiro and I seriously regret not doing it with the other 2! He has eased a TON of pain. I just think at almost 42 weeks pregnant there are pains that are not going to go away until the baby is here.

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
I had that pain with my last baby and i used a warm rice pack that i could keep warming in the microwave.. I would use it at night just to be able to sleep at night, and then wake up during the night to pee and would warm it up again. I was over due with all 4 of my kids and i didn't have any of that pain until my last 2.. I think it was my body's way of telling me it was done! The babies head felt like they would pop out at any point! It hurt to walk or do anything. I hope the baby comes soon!

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
yah- I was beyond 40 weeks with the girls- I am really hoping to not go that far with #4 do you have somewhere to 'swim' floating around in the water helped me tons with the others with that pain too- taking all the weight and gravity out of the picture.

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
Joelle: I have one of those packs. Looks like I should start using it. Thanks for the tip.
Amanda: I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooo wish there was somewhere to swim. Just the thought makes me drool knowing how nice it would be.

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
I think I will have to make dh take me on a babymoon when I get real close to the end to a hotel that has a pool inside or a rec center or ymca so I can float in peace- it will be too cold to go anywhere outside by then.. good luck- hopefully the babe will be here soon and you will find relief and be able to focus on the awesomeness!

Re: I feel like someone kicked me in the pelvis...
She's here.
Charlene Keala came flying into Daddy's hands, 13 days "late" at 7:45am on September 27th, after a 2 hour labor at home. Midwife missed it. She weighs 8#12oz -- our biggest baby yet by a full pound. 20 inches. She is nursing great already and we are in love, as are Nikolas and Kate. ♥
