Good for you, mama! I thought it was bad when the car behind me had a newborn FF in a convertible!

can you imagine...

Mommy, why don't my legs work?
well sweetie you were in a car accident where you were thrown from the car into oncoming traffic and you were run over when you were two.

But mommy, why didn't you put me in a seat belt or car seat?

I just thought that money was better spent on beer, sweetie. Now do you want me to push your wheelchair at your prom?

At a stop light he started hanging out the window!! So I beeped the horn to get his attention, put on the meanest "mommy's mad" face I could muster, and hand signaled him to turn his butt around and click his seatbelt!! Amazingly, he promptly did just that. My kids were like "Wooooah!!" and busted up laughing. The kid looked back one more time and I gave him "the look" again and shook my finger at him. That was probably the most discipline he'd received in his entire life!!
Somebody's got to do it! You go mama!

You, too, OP!

Re: Just Call Me the Car Seat Nazi

AMEN! I defintiely wouldn't call you a Nazi. That was really good of you to do. Can you imagine how they'd feel if they were in an accident? Makes you wonder what else they do with the baby if they neglect to even use a car seat. It makes me so frustrated to see little kids (3 and 4) bouncing around in the backseats of cars these days with no car seat or seat belt! There's no taking back a mistake and cheap car seats are $39 bucks at Walmart these days. I'll buy them one for Pete's sake! Kids are precious.
